Behavior
All members of the Shadow Warlords are expected to maintain a certain level of maturity, honor, respect and discipline. Ninjaing, bad behavior in public chat channels (Trade/General, etc), or any disrespecting of other players will not be tolerated.
Guild Chat
You may not use Guild chat at any time to sell items. If you wish to sell your items take them to the trade channel or the auction house where they belong.
We are an adult guild and as such behave like adults. Please keep in mind that adults may curse occasionally or make adult related humor. This is acceptable as long as it is not directly offensive or harassing to another guild member. This is a Guild not a Church.
Raiding
Guild raids typically occur at 11pm Khaz Modan server time (CST). If you wish to get into a raid but may be late, send a message to Joebelcher, or inform an officer.
You must have Ventrilo voice chat installed to be able to raid with us. Being able to talk is not required, but you have to be able to hear the raid leaders.
Required Addons:
- Omen
- BigWigs or Deadly Boss Mods
- Paladins are expected to have PallyPower or ZOMGBuffs.
- Mages are expected to have Decursive
Do not post damage meters to public channels.
Loot everything off corpses, even if it's trash.
Do not stealth AFK. If you need to leave your keyboard, inform the raid.
If you have a limit to how long you can be with the raid, inform the raid leader at the beginning of the raid.
If you are an active raider with this guild, DO NOT RAID WITH OTHER GUILDS.
Loot
We use an open roll loot system for all guild runs. There's no DKP, there's no Loot Council. Raids are run in master loot. When an epic drops, the loot master will post the item in a raid warning. Do not link loot in raid chat. If the item is an upgrade, you can /roll for it. Main characters get priority over alts. Main specs get priority over off-spec gear.
Mains > Alts > Off-Spec > Disenchant
Following the change to healing spell power in WoW 3.0, many spell caster pieces share the same stats for both healers and for caster dps. To avoid conflict we follow these conditions:
If a piece has Spell Hit, it is unequivocally a DPS piece. Ranged Caster DPS (Mages, Warlocks, Shadow Priests, Elemental Shamen, Balance Druids) get first dibs.
If a piece has MP5, it is unequivocally a HEALING piece. Healer classes are given priority.
Pieces without these two stats are open for rolls from all casters.
Gear goes to the class that it is meant for first.
Example: A leather caster belt drops. Balance and Resto Druids get first priority. If none of them want that piece, then it becomes open for Mail and Plate wearers.
The Shadow Warlords have a zero tolerance policy for loot drama. If anyone ever harrases you for rolling on something they want, inform the raid leader or Joebelcher immediately.
At the same time, any raid member may retract their winning roll if they see that the next highest would benefit more from the piece then they would. This is their own personal decision and should not be influenced by others. (At least not in a serious matter, we all joke about it).
We do NOT have a one loot per raid policy. It doesn't matter if you've gotten drops off every boss, you are still allowed to roll.
EXCEPTION: Non armor/weapon pieces such as the bag and satchel dropped by Sartharion are considered bonus loot. In these cases, the item becomes available only to those who have not yet received a drop from the current raid save id.
Greens
Green gear that drops during guild raids is automatically sent to an enchanter selected by the raid leader. It is this enchanter's responsibility to disenchant these pieces and place the materials into the guild vault.
It is requested, but not required, that instance runs containing all guild members also follow the same practice. If the group does not have an enchanter, greens can be deposited directly to the enchanting materials tab and Joebelcher will have them DEd at his leisure.
Guild Vault
Shadow Warlords will provide the materials for any gear enhancement (Gems, Armor Patches, Spellthread, Enchants) needed for any actively raiding member.
The guild vault exists for this sole purpose. If you raid with the guild, you have a right and a duty to request materials from the vault to get enhancements. The vault also contains potions, elixirs, flasks, and BoE gear pieces.
Contact Joebelcher to request anything from the vault.
