You guys notice how if you don't wait until immolate is FULLY dispelled from the target when you cast it, it will miss?  This has nothing to do with your hit cap.  Apparently, it is a bug.  Blizz won't confirm that it is a bug of course, so it might just be how the spell was intended to function...I dunno.  Also, what do you think of the changes in the new patch?  I seem to be pulling A LOT more threat, and about the same DPS, what gives?

i hadnt noticed a problem with this at all.. considering Immolate is a big part of my rotation i might have to look into it..

having said that tho, the main reason i use Immolate is because im specc'd into Conflagrate which deals larger amounts of damage when there is an Immolate on a target - and with 3 points in Backdraft when i cast Conflag the next 3 destruction spells i cast are 30% faster (faster Incinerate, faster Shadow Bolts and faster Rain of Fire.. the beauty of it is that it doesnt matter if it's my Immolate or someone else's - i get the benefit of it either way.. the problem with this used to be that Conflagrate would consume the Immolate so if u had 4 locks all with Immolate on a boss for example the Conflag would only take benefit from 1 being there but would consume all of them so u'd essentially be gimping the other locks in the raid out of DoT ticks.. since 3.0.8 there's a new Glyph of Conflagrate which for me personally makes this spec so much better as every1 still benefits from the Immolate ticks plus i get my 30% haste buff..

so standard rotation for me is CoA, Corr, Immo, Conflag (30% buff kicks in now) then Incinerate x3 then refresh DoT's as needed and with points in Improved Life Tap even though i chew through mana a bit with the extra haste i can regain 25% of my maximum mana with each tap.. im still trying to work out if i should cast Immo 1st then my 2 instant DoT's then Conflag so when i recast Immo i have the 30% buff to have it land faster.. and i only cast Shadow Bolts when Shadow Trance procs so its instant cast as a standard Shadow Bolt doesnt do as much damage as an Incinerate on an Immolated target..

considering how little ive played wristy im pretty impressed with her now :)
