There's a nice little trick I learned of today for power leveling your weapon skills.

There's a mob in Icecrown called Iceskin Sentry which is immune to all attacks and never fights back.  You can stand there and beat on it for eternity with no negative side effects.  And since you can't AFK out of the game while in combat, you can set yourself to work and come back an hour later.

The only requirement is that you have cold weather flying, as they mobs are on ledges only accessible from a bird.

Get on this quick folks, before blizzard "fixes" it.

Incase Blizz has fixed this, I also found that (before I gained my flying talent) I could level my weapon skill on the dragon/ drake eggs in either the Howling Fjord or Scholazar basin. The basin is preferable as the drakes that hatch are yellow mobs and so wont agro you providing you don't hit them. This method is slightly less effective than Wridel's as the eggs get destroyed after a while and you must move on to a new egg and avoid the bigger drake mobs but it a good enouogh substitute for those to cheap to buy their flying or still leveling and wanting to keep their skill up to their current cap. As I said at the begining of this post this is mostly an alternative for if/ when Blizz 'fixes' Wridel's option.
