For Reference:

After talkin' with Joe, he and I have both decided we will not proced with a support afflic lock as for the bosses we are doing it is not overly necessary and with WotLK comin out it will be largly irrelivant for us as a guild very soon. Especially as I know some of us are lookin at full afflic builds with the new trees anyhoo.

Also. Wristy and I are both working on fire resist sets for Leotheras the Blind so that there should always be a resist lock available for the encounter. Look the fight up we'll be attempting it very soon.

Oh and by the way- all you warlocks have been doin real well guys. The new recruits have sloted in well, you all listen, take part in the guild outside raids and you all perform in raids. I'm proud to call you my filthy warlock brothers and sisters. Well done guys!

If any of you want a laugh read the first few pages of Mak's thread on the WoW forums. It's called "remove warlocks from the game".
It's in the lock class forums obviously. I got to the fourth page b4 I couldn't stand it anymore. It has 20 odd pages. My God some people need a slap. lol
night guys.

BTW. talk it up here folks.

*points to general discussion page with details on the Leo fight*

sif remove warlocks from the game.. i mean with WoTLK it looks like we're being pushed more towards being another version of a fire mage but maybe they'll fix that so we can retain our individuality..

and ffs blizzard, if ur gonna give us fire spells at least make em green like all the fel-fire spells thrown at us by all those pathetics casters we destroy..

Over time I've had a number of various people ask me what I use to spam the banish announces etc. in raids. I would assume that many would already know but for those that don't it's an addon called Lylock. You can find it easily at curse.com.

Many of you would be familiar with Necrosis- I use it to- but I found that lylock did somethings better i.e. the banish announce. it also lets you have some fun customising tells for various actions like soul stoning a fellow player. Unlike the static emotes of necrosis, Lylock lets you tailor both exactly what you say and who you say it to, be it the whole raid, other locks or just the player in question. I turned off the UI on Lylock as I found Necrosis to be more to my liking as a heads up display and better at tracking my shards. I'll get around to posting a few screen shots for those that are interested some time soon. =)

Hey Wristy,

Take a look over this talent tree with the Leo fight in mind. It's not gospel but was suggested in the forums when I asked. What do you think? any ideas or suggestions?

Warlock Build

link didnt work for me :( maybe just take a screenshot & post it in the gallery.. the 1 i've got stored is sumthin along the lines of 0/40/21 with enuf points in demo to get master demonologist and a heap of other talents to buff dps then in destro i go with ImpSP and ruin for added crit damage.. i'll post a pic of the 1 i'm talking about & get sum feedback..
i pretty much figure it'll be a case of standard spec for most of ssc then b4 Leo a quick hearth out, respec then get a summon back in cos the overall spec wud be pretty piss poor for other fights lol.. btw, unbuffed im at 355 or sumthin, just need the gear enchanted to raise my hp & hit rating/spell dmg..

as far as ur info on Lylock i never really looked into that, i was sure Necrosis had built in messages for banish countdowns but ive disabled all my messages (as all self respecting locks should *glares at Kalahon*)

and here's something that might help as well.. i use a focus macro for my banish target to i can always see what's goin on with my target and can time my re-banish pretty well (this is assuming ur using Xperl & have ur focus frame & debuff size reasonably large - i'll post a pic so u can see).. here's how it works:

First use a macro to assign the target to Focus with
/focus

then make a macro that says
/stopcasting
/cast [target=focus]Banish

this will stop your cast, and banish your focus target that you set without dropping target so you can set focus, then target skull, when pull happens hit banish macro, then dps...

now, i know there's a way to alter this so u have a modifier such as "alt" so the 1 button will do both functions, atm i just have 2 macro icons on my toolbar so i can see exactly what im doing & not casting too early.. i'll take some ingame shots to make more sense of how i have it set up :)

any feedback from someone who knows more about macros would be greatly appreciated..

See the Mage discussion thread. I posted my sheep macro.

Just change Polymorph to Banish.

(link works now, w00t.. ty Wridel :P )

yeah, thats about the same as the build im looking at, although mine had shadowburn on the off chance something went wrong & an extra bit of threat was needed instantly - but that one looks better overall IMO..

can't wait to see it put to use ingame :)
